2006 Tut CuvéeSan Francisco's de Young Museum commissioned Iron Horse Vineyards to produce a limited edition special cuvée to commemorate the King Tut exhibit. Iron Horse pledged a dollar a bottle to go to the museum's "Get Kids to Tut" campaign, underwriting the cost of admission for over 350 Bay Area school children. Very few cases remain, making this a collector's item. Food PairingEverything you would traditionally match with a Blanc de Noirs. Because the base wine is primarily Pinot Noir, it is beautiful alongside many of the pairings associated with the varietal, especially mushrooms (think mushroom risotto), slow-roasted salmon and bacon. It is also great with caviar and oysters with a sherry vinegar mignonette. Thematically, it goes with humus and baba ganoush with baked pita chips, Tilapia, roast duck, ancient grains, Medjool dates. Total Production: 500 cases
