Celebrate the Year of the Horse by making your own Lunar New Year horse puppet at an early evening workshop at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Traditionally, zodiac animals appear in festival puppets that bring New Year stories to life; This is your chance to create one yourself, while sipping Iron Horse bubbles.
A museum curator will offer a brief presentation highlighting the history of traditional Lunar New Year puppets drawn from the museum’s collection and a local artist will guide the crafting portion where you’ll create your own horse puppet at your desired level of difficulty. Iron Horse Year of the Horse Blanc de Blancs and light snacks will be served.
