Tasting with a View
At the end of a winding road, Iron Horse offers a genuine, working winery experience. Our “tasting room” is outdoors, offering sweeping views across Sonoma County. Against this backdrop, you’ll taste our iconic sparkling wines served at the White House since 1985, alongside elegant estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
$35 per person, complimentary for wine club members. Please reserve in advance. Groups larger than 6 are subject to special pricing, please inquire.

50th Anniversary Magnum Experience
To mark Iron Horse’s 50th anniversary—and Winemaker David Munksgard’s 30th harvest—we invite you to celebrate this milestone season in our Gazebo Lounge with a very special debut: 2018 Golden Cuvée in Magnum, the third wine in our commemorative anniversary series, and a release as rare and celebratory as the occasion itself. This intimate seated experience features four crème de la crème bubbles, a curated charcuterie box, and a relaxed summer setting where magnums shine and the breeze always finds you.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Iron Horse with picnic tables overlooking our estate vineyards, where you can bring your own food and choose from our selection of wines, with a two-bottle minimum and a two-hour limit per table.

What are things to do in sonoma county?
Once your Iron Horse visit is planned, incredible restaurants, nature and natural beauty beckon. Sonoma County is a playground for everyone. All you need is a long weekend to take full advantage of everything our home has to offer.
- Incredible food. Michelin restaurants in Healdsburg and plenty of hidden gems that deserve accolades. Read Joy's blog about her favorite food in the Russian River area.
- Redwood walks and hikes. A short drive from the estate, the vines give way to some of the oldest trees on earth. Wander among thousand-year-old trees at Armstrong Woods (pro tip: skip the crowds at Muir Woods), where it's quiet enough to hear yourself think.
- Take a drive to see the seals. Extend your visit west on River Road and you'll see cliffs and adorable wildlife. Jenner sits where the Russian River meets the Pacific, and seals make frequent appearances. It's the kind of drive that makes the whole trip feel bigger than a single afternoon of tasting.
- Explore the Russian River. Paddle it, float it, or just sit at its edge. If you've spent the year under desert sun or city sky, this is the counterpoint: cool, green, unhurried. Bubbles pair as well with shade as they do with sun.
